Whereas, Raymond Hurst has dedicated 41 years in our community, and now announced that he will retire on April 3, 2020; and
Whereas, he started his career as a bag boy and worked himself to the position as Manager; and
Whereas, he has served with Food City for the past forty-one years and transitioned to the State Street location and has served as the only Store Manager at this location; and
Whereas, he has been a fixture in our community by being involved in many endeavors; and
Whereas, he is a skilled carpenter that enjoys wood working, outdoor activities such as fishing, camping, and gardening. With these many skills, retirement will bring him a time to enjoy; and
Now, Therefore, I Glen E Warren Jr, Mayor of the Town of White Pine do hereby proclaim April 3, 2020 as RAYMOND HURST DAY in the Town of White Pine, and extend to Raymond my personal congratulations and also those of the Town Alderman and all our citizens. We appreciate his many years of dedicated service, and extend to him and his family our best wishes for many years of happiness in the future.
